The recording takes an hour. Then comes the part that eats the day: scrubbing a timeline for every pause, cutting the line you said three times, syncing captions word by word. Second and third takes alone can double your time in front of the camera. So the raw clip sits in a folder. This editor exists so the recording is the only hard part.

Why is this free?
I built this for myself. I make videos every week, and editing was the part that left finished recordings sitting on my drive going stale. I kept looking for an AI video editor that would just cut the silences and the takes I redid, and I could never find one that worked the way I wanted, so I built it into my own product. I have used it on my own videos ever since. It saves me hours on every one.
Hosting it costs me very little. The editing happens in your browser, and the AI part runs on the Claude or ChatGPT account you already pay for, so I am happy to hand it over for free. I would rather more people got to make videos without the edit being the thing that stops them.

What you're probably wondering
Is it actually free?
Yes. You sign up without a card and the editor is yours: cutting, the timeline, text, overlays, sounds, export. The AI editing runs through your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP agent) with a free API key from your settings, so it costs nothing on our side either. There's a one-click Magic Edit that uses our AI instead, and that one is paid. You never need it.
Do I need to know how to edit video?
No. If you can delete a word from a doc, you can edit here. The transcript is the editor: the words are your footage, and removing one removes that moment from the video. There's a real timeline underneath when you want it.
What does it cut?
The silences and long pauses come out on their own. Ask your AI for more and it cuts the retakes (the line you flubbed and said again), the ums and false starts, and it can caption every word. Every cut is visible and undoable.
Which AIs work with it?
Claude Code, Codex, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Hermes, OpenClaw, and anything else that speaks MCP or plain HTTP. You create an API key in settings, paste one connect command, and tell your agent what you want. Its edits land in your open tab live.
Can I edit an hour-long recording?
Yes. It edits long form and vertical: podcasts, YouTube videos, Reels, Shorts. The same transcript editing and automatic cutting work at both lengths.
