9 month-to-month social media plans under $100 in 2026

October 30, 2026 · 10 min read

BetterSocials is the best month-to-month plan in 2026 for one person whose comments and DMs bring in customers, at $29 a month for four accounts, or $24 billed yearly. Buffer is the low-cost paid pick for posting alone, at $6 a channel a month as of October 2026. SocialBee's Bootstrap plan covers five profiles for $29 a month as of October 2026, one more account than BetterSocials at the same price.

Which social media tools let you pay month to month for under $100?

Hootsuite is the benchmark price in this piece. Standard is $99 per user a month, billed annually, as of October 2026, per Hootsuite's plans page. Hootsuite's FAQ says it offers "both monthly and annual billing options for Standard, Professional, and Advanced plans," but the plans page shows no monthly price.

We took the Pricing desk's angle on this question: the price band. Every tool below sells a month-to-month plan for under $100, and we give the monthly rate first with the yearly rate beside it. That matters to the business owner, creator or small agency that runs social alone and wants to leave after any month.

We covered Hootsuite's seat model on its own in What social media tools cost in 2026, from Hootsuite's $99 seat to flat plans. Prices in this piece are as of October 2026, from each vendor's pricing page, unless a line says otherwise.

How we picked these nine tools

Each of the nine tools sells a monthly plan with a price on its own pricing page, so you can stop paying after any month. Each one posts to the main social platforms. Where a vendor states an account count, we priced the plan at four accounts and at six, because the vendors count differently: per channel, per profile, per brand or per user.

BetterSocials sits first because this piece is about one person who posts and also answers the people who reply. Its cheapest plan covers both jobs. Every other tool keeps the spot where it beats BetterSocials, on price, on profile count or on logins.

BetterSocials: best for owners whose comments and DMs bring in customers

BetterSocials posts to six platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, TikTok and LinkedIn) and puts every comment and DM in one inbox. Its pricing page lists three plans, each sold month to month or yearly. Creator is $29 a month for four accounts and one login, or $24 a month billed yearly.

Pro is $49 a month for six accounts, or $39 billed yearly. Team is $99 a month for twelve accounts with unlimited teammates, or $79 billed yearly. Every plan has a 7-day free trial with a card on file, you can cancel any time, and the first paid charge carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The AI replies are what the price buys. BetterSocials drafts answers to comments and DMs in the owner's voice, from past replies and from AI rules the owner writes, such as prices, hours and a booking link. You pick Off, Draft for me or Reply in my voice, and a question your rules don't cover waits for you in Needs reply.

A keyword in an Instagram or Facebook comment sends that person a DM with your link. On TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, the keyword posts a public reply with the link instead. Contacts, DMs and keyword automations are unlimited on every plan, and nothing is billed per contact.

BetterSocials has no free plan. It doesn't connect X, email inboxes or WhatsApp.

Buffer: best for a low monthly bill for posting

Buffer charges per channel, and it's cheaper than BetterSocials at both account counts we priced. Essentials is $6 a channel a month, or $5 billed yearly, for one user, per Buffer's pricing page. Team is $12 a channel a month, or $10 billed yearly, with unlimited team members.

Four channels on Essentials cost 4 x $6 = $24 a month, which is $5 under BetterSocials Creator. Six channels on Essentials still come in more than ten dollars under BetterSocials Pro's $49.

Buffer's Community inbox covers comments only, with no DMs, and it reads YouTube comments. What the extra money on BetterSocials buys is the DM side of the inbox, AI replies and keyword comment-to-DM. Pick Buffer if you mostly schedule posts and answer a few comments by hand.

Later: best for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok conversations

Later's Starter plan is $25 a month, or $18.75 a month billed yearly, for one user, as of October 2026. As of September 2026, Growth was $50 a month, or $37.50 billed yearly, and it includes two users, with more at $5 a user a month. Scale was $110 a month, or $82.50 billed yearly.

Later's Conversations inbox starts on Growth. It holds Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook DMs and comments, and TikTok comments. It has no YouTube conversations and no LinkedIn conversations.

Pick Later if your customers talk to you on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and you want two logins on one plan. If YouTube comments matter, BetterSocials puts them in the same inbox from $29 a month for four accounts.

Metricool: best for a free plan with analytics

Metricool's free plan costs nothing and covers one brand, 20 scheduled posts a month and 30 days of analytics, as of October 2026. Metricool prices by brand, which means one business and its set of social accounts. The free plan connects every network except LinkedIn and X, and Metricool reads YouTube comments on it.

LinkedIn joins on the paid Starter plan, which also removes the 20-post limit. Advanced is $67 a month, or $53 a month billed yearly, with unlimited team members.

Pick Metricool if you want to start at $0 and pay only when you outgrow one brand. A second business, or a LinkedIn page, moves you to a paid plan.

SocialBee: best for planning posts by content category

SocialBee Bootstrap is $29 a month billed monthly, or $290 a year, for five profiles and one user. That's one more account than BetterSocials Creator at the same monthly price. Accelerate is $49 a month or $490 a year for ten profiles, and Pro is $99 a month or $990 a year for 25 profiles and three users.

SocialBee sorts your posts into content categories, ten on Bootstrap, and includes unlimited AI content generation on every plan. Its inbox holds comments and DMs, with DMs on Facebook and Instagram. Five more profiles cost $15 a month on a monthly plan, so ten profiles on Bootstrap still come in under Accelerate's $49.

Every SocialBee plan starts with a 14-day trial. Pick SocialBee if you plan posts by theme and want the most profiles for $29. BetterSocials puts AI replies in your voice and keyword comment-to-DM in its $29 plan.

SocialPilot: best for a low-cost posting plan for one user

SocialPilot Essentials is $30 a month, or $25.50 a month billed yearly, for one user, as of October 2026. Standard includes three users and adds more at $5 a user a month. Ultimate, the plan with unlimited users, is $200 a month, or $170 billed yearly.

Pick SocialPilot if you post on a budget now and expect to add a helper later. The per-user add-on keeps that step small.

Sendible: best for small agencies that need several logins

Sendible Core is $35 a month, or $30 a month billed yearly, as of October 2026, and every Sendible plan includes unlimited users. That suits a small agency, or a business where two or three people post from one account.

BetterSocials puts unlimited teammates on Team only, at $99 a month for twelve accounts. If you need several logins for under $50 a month, Sendible Core costs less than BetterSocials Team.

Pallyy: best for a cheap inbox without YouTube

Pallyy Pro is $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, for one user, as of October 2026. That's the lowest monthly price on this list for a plan with a DM inbox. The inbox starts on Pro and holds Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook messages and comments, LinkedIn comments, TikTok comments and Google reviews.

Pallyy's inbox has no YouTube. Pick Pallyy if Google reviews matter to your business and YouTube doesn't. BetterSocials Creator costs $4 more a month, at $29 for four accounts, and its inbox takes YouTube comments, with AI replies in your voice and keyword comment-to-DM.

Agorapulse: best for teams that want reviews in the inbox

Agorapulse Standard is $99 per user a month, or $79 billed yearly, with ten social profiles per user, as of October 2026. Extra profiles cost $15 a month each on monthly billing, or $10 on yearly. Standard comes with a 30-day trial.

Agorapulse's inbox holds comments, DMs and reviews from every connected network on all four plans. Its feature list includes Google reviews moderation, saved replies and AI reply suggestions.

The per-user price is the catch for one person. Six accounts cost $99 a month on Agorapulse Standard, against $49 on BetterSocials Pro. Pick Agorapulse if a team shares the inbox and reviews sit next to comments.

At six accounts, Buffer stays under forty dollars, SocialBee Bootstrap with five extra profiles lands a few dollars under fifty, BetterSocials Pro is $49 and Agorapulse is $99.

Buffer is the cheapest at both counts, and SocialBee is next at six. BetterSocials costs more than both. Its plans put AI replies in your voice, keyword comment-to-DM and TikTok DMs in the same inbox as your comments.

Yearly billing saves about two months. BetterSocials Creator billed yearly is $288, about sixty dollars less than twelve monthly payments of $29. SocialBee Bootstrap is $290 a year, close to the same saving, and Buffer on four channels saves close to fifty dollars a year.
