Blotato vs BetterSocials: what $29 a month buys in 2026
November 2, 2026 · 7 min read
Blotato's Starter plan is $29 a month, as of October 2026, and it fits you if posting to nine platforms or running posts from an AI agent is the job. BetterSocials is also $29 a month, for four social accounts, and it fits you if the comments and DMs that come back bring in customers. Both entry prices match. What the money buys does not, so pick by the half of social media that earns you money.
Same $29 entry price, different jobs
Blotato and BetterSocials both open at $29 a month, so we took the pricing view: the plans side by side, the month each price was seen and what each tier pays for. Blotato puts its weight on publishing. Its MCP server, a connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude operate the product, has 32 tools for posting, comments, DMs and analytics.
BetterSocials puts its weight on the replies. It posts to six platforms, then collects every comment and DM in one inbox and drafts answers in your voice. The two overlap on posting and on some DM work, and they split on who does the answering.
The plans side by side, from $29 to $499 a month
Blotato lists three plans on its pricing page, all at monthly prices as of October 2026: Starter at $29, Creator at $97 and Agency at $499. The page says annual billing saves "about 17%" but lists no annual prices. BetterSocials lists both figures for its three plans, and every plan has unlimited contacts, unlimited keyword automations and a 7-day free trial with a card.
The table below sets the monthly prices next to each other, with BetterSocials' account counts and Blotato's coverage taken from its pricing page and MCP tool docs, as of October 2026.
| Plan item | BetterSocials | Blotato |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Creator, $29 for 4 accounts | Starter, $29 |
| Middle plan | Pro, $49 for 6 accounts | Creator, $97 |
| Top plan | Team, $99 for 12 accounts | Agency, $499 |
| Yearly billing | Creator $24, Pro $39, Team $79 | About 17% off, no prices listed |
| Posting platforms | Six | Nine, including X and Bluesky |
| Comment replies | Six platforms, AI in your voice | Instagram and Facebook posts |
| AI agent access | Hosted MCP, normal login | 32 MCP tools, not in trial |
At the entry tier, the two cost the same on monthly billing. One step up, BetterSocials Pro is $49 a month for six accounts and one login, and Blotato Creator is $97 a month. BetterSocials Team, at $99 a month for twelve accounts, is the plan with unlimited teammates and 4,000 shared AI credits a month.
BetterSocials' AI credits meter the writing only. Each AI reply or draft uses one credit, Creator includes 1,000 a month, and when they run out the AI pauses instead of adding charges.
What the money buys on comments and DMs
Blotato handles comments and DMs through its MCP tools. Its comment tool replies on "your published Instagram or Facebook posts", and its message tool can "send a direct message to one recipient, or a private reply to a comment", per the Blotato MCP tool docs. Blotato also lists DM automations and post analytics.
BetterSocials builds the paid plans around one inbox. Comments from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages land there, along with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok DMs. Views for Needs reply and Replied keep track of what's still open.
Every new comment and DM gets a tag on arrival, such as Lead for someone asking about price, booking or availability. A new lead sends a push notification to your phone. Lead detection is free and on by default.
The AI replies run in two sections, Comments and DMs, each with three settings: Off, Draft for me and Reply in my voice. On Reply in my voice, a DM gets an answer about a minute after it arrives. Questions your AI rules don't cover wait for you in Needs reply.
Comment-to-DM: a keyword against a private reply
BetterSocials runs comment-to-DM from a keyword, with no flow builder. A word such as GUIDE in an Instagram or Facebook comment posts a public reply and sends the person a DM with your link. On TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, the keyword posts a public reply with the link instead, because no tool can turn a comment there into a private DM.
Blotato's message tool covers the private reply, the one DM Instagram allows a business to send to someone who commented. Blotato also lists DM automations among its 32 tools.
Instagram's own limits apply to both. Meta's developer docs allow one private reply per comment, sent within 7 days of the comment. After that, the conversation only continues inside the 24-hour window that opens when the person writes back.
Where ManyChat's contact meter fits in
ManyChat bills its comment-to-DM automation by active contacts. ManyChat Pro is $39 a month with 2,500 active contacts, as of October 2026, and each extra contact costs $0.05 on Pro. So the bill on a Pro account grows with every person past 2,500 in a month.
BetterSocials keeps the same price at any audience size, because nothing is billed per contact. Creator stays $29 a month for four accounts however many people comment your keyword. ManyChat still fits if your business runs on WhatsApp or Telegram, which BetterSocials doesn't connect.
Meta Business Suite is the free option. Its comment-to-message automation sends a fixed template you write, set up on desktop, and keyword automations can wait 15 minutes before sending.
AI agent access and the Blotato trial rule
Blotato's MCP server works with Claude, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other clients, signing in through OAuth or an API key. Its pricing page says "API and MCP access is not included in the free trial". Generating an API key during the trial ends the trial and starts billing, so plan for that before you test an agent setup.
BetterSocials hosts its own MCP server, and Claude and ChatGPT connect with the normal BetterSocials login, no API key. Claude runs every tool: it reads the inbox, drafts and sends replies in your voice, and creates, captions and schedules posts.
ChatGPT connects through Developer mode, which needs a paid ChatGPT plan on the web. In a normal chat it reads the inbox and suggests replies. Sending, posting and editing from ChatGPT need a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace.
Blotato is the better buy when posting reach is the job
Blotato wins on reach. It publishes to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, Threads and YouTube, three more platforms than BetterSocials covers, X included.
Pick Blotato if you run content across that wider set of networks, or if you want an AI agent to handle publishing and analytics through 32 tools. Its $29 Starter matches BetterSocials on price at the entry tier.
BetterSocials is the better buy when replies bring the sales
BetterSocials wins when the comments and DMs are where customers come from: a med spa, a salon, a gym, a realtor or a creator selling a product. Creator is $29 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, for four accounts, with unlimited contacts.
What that price buys is the answering side. Comments and DMs from six platforms sit in one inbox, AI replies come in your voice, and a keyword comment on Instagram or Facebook sends your link by DM. Pro adds six accounts for $49 a month, against $97 for Blotato's Creator plan.
