CreatorFlow on TikTok and YouTube: what works in 2026

November 2, 2026 · 8 min read

CreatorFlow is built for Instagram comment-to-DM, and its product page is titled Instagram DM Automation Tool. On TikTok and YouTube the platforms set the limit, because no tool can turn a comment there into a private DM outside a small TikTok rollout. For all three platforms in one inbox, BetterSocials is the pick we'd make, while Pallyy suits TikTok comments on a smaller budget and Metricool suits YouTube comments on its free tier.

Comment-to-DM means a keyword in a comment sends the commenter a private message with your link. It's a demand tool. Someone raises a hand in public, and the link reaches them before they scroll on.

Our angle: the rules decide the answer

CreatorFlow's own pages tell you where it runs, and the platform rules tell you where any tool can run. This memo takes the rules angle, because the rules explain the answer better than a feature list does. We lay out what's known, name our assumption, and end with what we would do.

CreatorFlow publishes the rest in plain view. Its Instagram DM automation page is titled Instagram DM Automation Tool, and that's the job it pitches. Its Trustpilot listing reads "IG automation for creators", and its blog has a post called TikTok Comment to DM: What Works and What Does Not.

Our assumption is simple. Your buyers comment on more than one platform, and some of them ask on TikTok or under a YouTube Short. If every buyer you have comments on Instagram, you can stop reading here and keep CreatorFlow.

Three platforms, three sets of rules

Instagram, TikTok and YouTube each treat a comment differently, and the table shows the rules side by side with what each tool covers. The CreatorFlow row says Not listed where its pages don't describe a platform.

Instagram is the generous one. Meta's private replies documentation says "only one message can be sent to the Instagram user who commented", and it must go out within 7 days of the comment. After that, the conversation only continues inside the 24-hour window once the person writes back.

The fine print on TikTok and YouTube

TikTok's rule is the one that trips people up. A TikTok comment can't trigger a private DM on BetterSocials or on any other tool, outside TikTok's limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. So a keyword comment on TikTok gets a public reply with your link instead.

TikTok DMs still work once the person writes first. A business can send up to 10 replies within 48 hours of the person's last message. Each reply is text up to 6,000 characters or one image, never both, and the account must be a Business account.

Two more TikTok details matter for planning. TikTok only lets apps answer DMs for accounts outside the UK and Europe. On the comment side, TikTok's comment API documentation says its webhook sends "notifications within five minutes of a comment or reply being created", so an app can answer TikTok comments quickly.

YouTube is simpler. YouTube has no DM API, so no tool can send a private message from a YouTube comment. Every answer there is a public reply, and a keyword comment gets your link in that reply.

Who answers TikTok and YouTube comments, and the bill

BetterSocials, Pallyy, Later, Buffer, Metricool and ManyChat each cover part of this job, and some cost less than BetterSocials. Prices below are as of September and October 2026, billed monthly unless the cell says yearly.

ToolTikTokYouTubePrice
BetterSocialsYes, comments and DM repliesYes, comments on videos and Shorts$29 a month, 4 accounts
PallyyYes, comments on ProNo$25 a month, $20 yearly
LaterYes, comments from GrowthNo$50 a month, $37.50 yearly
BufferNot listedYes, comments only$30 a month yearly, six channels
MetricoolNot listedYes, comments on free tierFree tier available
ManyChatYes, platform supportedNo$39 a month, 2,500 contacts

BetterSocials Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts and one login. Pallyy is cheaper at $25 a month, or $20 billed yearly, for its inbox on Pro. Metricool is cheaper still for YouTube alone, since it reads YouTube comments on its free tier.

Buffer is cheaper per account too. Six channels on Buffer Essentials cost $30 a month on annual billing, which works out to about five dollars a channel. BetterSocials Creator on yearly billing is $24 for four accounts, about six dollars an account.

What the extra dollar buys is the combination. BetterSocials puts Instagram, TikTok and YouTube comments in one inbox, with Instagram and TikTok DMs beside them, keyword comment-to-DM on Instagram, and AI replies drafted in your voice. Later's Conversations inbox has no YouTube conversations, Pallyy's inbox has no YouTube, and Buffer's inbox covers comments without DMs.

ManyChat bills by active contact, which changes the math on a busy month. A Pro account at $39 a month includes 2,500 active contacts, and every contact past that adds $0.05, so a post that goes viral pushes the bill up with it. BetterSocials bills a flat price with unlimited contacts, so a viral month costs the same as a quiet one.

When CreatorFlow should stay on your Instagram

CreatorFlow fits if Instagram is where your buyers ask. Instagram DM automation is the job its pages describe, and you don't need a second tool for that.

The case for one inbox starts when TikTok and YouTube comments carry buyer questions too. Keeping CreatorFlow and adding a second tool means two subscriptions and two inboxes to check. A question on TikTok that sits in a second app for a day is a buyer who's already moved on.

BetterSocials also runs Instagram comment-to-DM. So one tool can cover the keyword DM on Instagram and the public link reply on TikTok and YouTube, from the same inbox.

What we would do with BetterSocials

BetterSocials is the tool we'd set up if your buyers comment on all three platforms. The setup takes three steps.

  1. 1Connect Instagram, TikTok and YouTube from Connected Accounts. Each takes under a minute, and you sign in on the platform's own screen.
  2. 2Write one keyword in Comment to DM, with the public reply and the DM it sends. Instagram gets both halves, and TikTok and YouTube get your link in the public reply.
  3. 3Set AI replies to Draft for me under Settings, then AI voice. Every new comment gets a draft in your voice, and nothing posts until you approve it from Needs reply.

When you trust the drafts, Reply in my voice answers everyday comments on its own 1 to 5 minutes later. Questions still wait in Needs reply unless you turn on Answer questions too, which needs at least one AI rule with your prices, hours or booking link.

The plans are Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts. Pro is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for six accounts, and Team is $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for twelve accounts with unlimited teammates. Every plan has a 7-day free trial with a card, and the pricing page and setup guide on BetterSocials's site show how it works before you start.

Frequently asked questions

Is CreatorFlow Instagram only?+

CreatorFlow is built for Instagram, and its product page calls it an Instagram DM automation tool. Its job is a keyword comment that sends a DM. That job can't move to TikTok or YouTube on any tool, because neither platform lets a comment open a private DM outside a small TikTok rollout.

Can a TikTok comment trigger a DM?+

Not on any tool outside TikTok's limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. A keyword comment on TikTok gets a public reply with your link instead. You can still answer TikTok DMs once the person writes first, with up to 10 replies within 48 hours, from a Business account.

Can you send DMs from YouTube comments?+

No. YouTube has no DM API, so no tool can send a private message from a YouTube comment. In BetterSocials, a keyword comment on a YouTube video or Short gets a public reply with your link, and the AI drafts the other replies in your voice.

What tool puts Instagram, TikTok and YouTube comments in one inbox?+

BetterSocials puts Instagram, TikTok and YouTube comments in one inbox, with Instagram and TikTok DMs beside them and AI replies in your voice. Later and Pallyy read TikTok comments but not YouTube, and Buffer and Metricool read YouTube comments. Creator is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts.

Does ManyChat work with TikTok and YouTube?+

ManyChat works on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok, and it has no YouTube support. It bills by active contact: Pro is $39 a month with 2,500 active contacts, then $0.05 for each extra contact, billed monthly. BetterSocials covers TikTok and YouTube comments at a flat price with unlimited contacts.

Can I keep CreatorFlow and add a tool for TikTok and YouTube?+

Yes. You can run CreatorFlow on Instagram and a second tool for TikTok and YouTube comments, which means two subscriptions and two inboxes. BetterSocials also runs Instagram comment-to-DM, so Creator at $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for four accounts covers all three platforms in one place.
