Is there one app that edits your videos and schedules your posts?
Updated October 25, 2026 · Published October 24, 2026 · 6 min read
Yes. Several apps now edit video and schedule it, and they split by what they do best. Video editors that added scheduling, like Opus Clip, Submagic and Adobe Express, give you more editing. BetterSocials is a social media manager with a video editor built in: it cuts silence and filler words, adds captions, text and sound, schedules to six platforms, and brings the comments back to one inbox, from $29 a month for four accounts.
BetterSocials is our product, so weigh this page with that in mind. We read every competitor price on the vendor's own page on October 22, 2026.
Why do people want editing and scheduling in one app?
Because three apps turn one video into an afternoon. You edit the Reel in one app, export it, upload it to a scheduler, then open Instagram, TikTok and YouTube one by one to answer the comments it brings in.
We hear this from people when they sign up. They want to edit a Reel, add text and sound, schedule it, and have keyword replies running on it, without juggling three apps.
So the right question isn't only "which app edits and schedules?" It's "which app covers the jobs I do every week, from raw clip to answered comments?" Pick the one that matches where your time goes.
Which apps edit video and schedule posts in 2026?
These five are worth comparing. Each started somewhere different, and that shapes what it's good at.
| Tool | What it is | Scheduling | Price we read October 22, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opus Clip | Turns long videos into short clips | Scheduler from Pro, to 9 networks | Pro $29/mo monthly, or $14.50/mo billed yearly |
| Submagic | Short-form video editor | Publishing from Pro, to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts | Pro $39/mo per member monthly, or $23/mo billed yearly |
| Adobe Express | Design and video templates | Content Scheduler to 7 networks, free plan included | Premium $9.99/mo, billed monthly |
| Descript | Video and podcast editor | Publishes to YouTube and podcast hosts, no social scheduler | Not compared here |
| BetterSocials | Social media manager with a built-in editor | Schedules to 6 platforms on every plan | Creator $29/mo, or $24/mo billed yearly, for 4 accounts |
Which one fits the videos you make?
Dedicated editors do more editing. That's the honest trade, so start with the video.
If you cut long videos, podcasts or streams into many short clips, Opus Clip is built for that. Its Starter plan ($15 a month, monthly only) auto-posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. The scheduler starts on Pro, which adds six social account connections and two seats, and schedules to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky.
If your short videos live or die on their captions, look at Submagic. It prices per member, and publishing starts on Pro. It posts to TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, and YouTube Shorts today; Submagic says LinkedIn, Facebook and X are coming soon.
If your posts are designed graphics and templates, Adobe Express fits. Its Content Scheduler posts to Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. The free plan schedules to one account per network, and Premium ($9.99 a month, billed monthly) allows three.
If you make podcasts or long YouTube videos, Descript publishes to YouTube and podcast hosts. It has no social scheduler, so you'd still need one for Reels and TikToks.
If you talk to camera, post the same video to several platforms, and sell through the comments, BetterSocials covers the whole week in one tab.
What does the two-app setup cost?
Take one common pairing as an example, with both billed yearly: an editor for the clips and a scheduler for the posts. Submagic Starter is $12 a month per member, and it doesn't publish. Add Buffer Essentials for four channels at $5 a month each and you're at $32 a month, with a comments inbox and no DMs.
BetterSocials Creator is $24 a month billed yearly ($29 a month monthly) for four accounts, with the editor, the scheduler and an inbox that holds comments and DMs.
If you need the deeper editing, two apps are worth it. If you need the week done in one place, one app is the better buy.
What does BetterSocials do in one place?
Three steps, from raw clip to answered comment.
- 1Edit the clip. Drop your video in. The editor cuts silence and filler words, then you add captions, text, sounds and overlays in the browser.
- 2Schedule it everywhere. Pick Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads or LinkedIn and set the time. AI drafts a caption for each platform, using your monthly AI credits.
- 3Answer what comes back. Comments and DMs from those posts land in one Inbox. The AI drafts comment replies in your voice, and you approve them one at a time or with Approve in bulk.
A keyword reply runs on the same post. You ask people to comment a word like GUIDE. On Instagram and Facebook, that comment gets a DM with your link. On TikTok and YouTube, the link goes in a public reply.
So the video goes out, and the people asking "how much?" or "where do I book?" get an answer the same day instead of sitting in four apps.
How long can my videos be?
Footage per project depends on the plan:
- Creator: $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly. Four social accounts, one login, 4 minutes of footage per project, 1,000 AI credits a month.
- Pro: $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly. Six social accounts, one login, 60 minutes of footage per project, 2,000 AI credits a month, analytics.
- Team: $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly. Twelve social accounts, unlimited teammates, 2 hours of footage per project, 4,000 shared AI credits a month.
Four minutes covers most Reels, TikToks and Shorts. If you edit long videos or podcast episodes, you'll want Pro.
What BetterSocials doesn't do
BetterSocials doesn't post to X or Pinterest. It doesn't turn one long video into a stack of clips the way Opus Clip does. The AI never sends a DM on its own: you answer DMs in the Inbox, and AI assist drafts one in your voice when you click it. The only automatic DM is the one a keyword comment sends on Instagram or Facebook.
Every plan has a 7-day free trial, card required, and unlimited contacts. If you want your editor, your schedule and your comments in one tab, try it on your own accounts. Start your free trial or see how posting everywhere works.
Frequently asked questions

Can Opus Clip schedule posts?+
Yes, on Pro: $29 a month, or $14.50 a month billed yearly, with six social account connections and two seats. Starter ($15 a month, monthly only) auto-posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels but doesn't include the scheduler.
Can Submagic post to Instagram and TikTok?+

Does BetterSocials answer the comments on the videos it posts?+
