Is there a social media MCP server for Claude?

Yes. Several hosted servers let Claude publish posts, and a smaller group lets it answer comments and DMs too.

An MCP server is the plug that lets Claude use another app. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the open standard behind it. You add the server to Claude once. After that, Claude can call that app's tools from a normal chat.

Pick by what you need Claude to do. If it only publishes, most servers below will work. If it also has to answer the people who reply, your list gets shorter.

How we picked these MCP servers

We checked every server on four things, using each tool's own docs and pricing page on October 16, 2026:

• Posts: can it publish or schedule a post?
• Comment replies: can it read comments and reply to them?
• DMs: can it read and send direct messages?
• Sign-in: does it connect from claude.ai with a login, rather than an API key header?

The platforms run no official server for organic posting or replies. Meta runs an Ads MCP server for campaigns, ad sets, ads and reporting. TikTok runs a TikTok for Business Ads server for campaign management, reporting, audiences and creative. Neither covers organic posts, comments or DMs.

We found no official YouTube or LinkedIn server. Every pick here is a third-party server.

We host our server at https://bettersocials.ai/api/mcp. In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste that address. You sign in with your normal BetterSocials login (OAuth), with no API key.

Claude runs every tool. It reads the Inbox, drafts and sends replies in your voice, creates, captions and schedules posts, manages keywords and reads analytics.

It covers six platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages. Claude can answer DMs on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. On YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn Company Pages, it answers comments with public replies.

For publishing alone, Blotato is the strongest pick. Its server has 32 tools. It publishes or schedules to X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, Threads and YouTube. X, Pinterest and Bluesky are outside the six BetterSocials supports.

It replies to comments on your published Instagram and Facebook posts. It lists conversations, reads messages and sends DMs, and it runs DM automations. Claude.ai connects with OAuth.

Starter is $29 a month, Creator $97 and Agency $499, billed monthly, as of October 2026 (blotato.com/pricing). API and MCP access is not in the free trial. Generating an API key during the trial ends the trial and starts billing.

Upload-Post: best for ChatGPT and Claude without developer setup

Best for: ChatGPT and Claude without developer setup.

Upload-Post is a reviewed app in the ChatGPT app directory. That route needs no Developer mode and no URL to paste. On claude.ai, it connects as a custom connector over OAuth.

Its tools upload video, photos and text and run a scheduling queue. Claude can read comments, reply to them and post public replies. It can also send DMs, list conversations and manage auto-DMs. It names 10 platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X.

Free is $0 for 10 uploads. Basic is $24 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, as of October 2026, per Upload-Post's llms-full.txt.

Buffer: best for scheduling posts you already plan in Buffer

Best for: scheduling posts you already plan in Buffer.

Buffer's server connects to Claude on the web, desktop or Claude Code with OAuth. Its tools create, edit, delete and list posts, pull post metrics, and work with ideas and templates. It covers 12 networks. Comments and DMs are not documented in its MCP tools.

The Free plan covers up to 3 channels and includes the API, with 3,000 requests a month. Essentials is $5 a month per channel, billed yearly at $60, as of October 2026. Team is $10 a month per channel, billed yearly at $120.

A request through the MCP server counts the same as an API request. So your plan's limit applies: 3,000, 7,500 or 15,000 requests per 30 days.

Zernio: best for many platforms at a per-account price

Best for: many platforms at a per-account price.

Zernio covers 17 platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads and X. It posts and schedules. It reads and replies to comments, with support that varies by platform. It reads and sends DMs.

The server is hosted and signs you in over OAuth 2.1, with an API key as an option.

MCP costs nothing extra. Two accounts are free, then you pay $6, $3 or $1 per account a month, per zernio.com/pricing, as of October 2026.

Ayrshare: best for developers working in Claude Code

Best for: developers working in Claude Code.

Ayrshare has 33 tools. They cover posts, analytics, comments (get, add and reply) and DMs (get, send and auto-responses). Six ads tools need its Ads add-on.

Auth works only with a static API key header. A claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile personal connector cannot send that header, so those are not supported. It works in Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and n8n. Claude Team and Enterprise org connectors are in beta for approved organisations.

Premium is $149 a month billed monthly, as of October 2026, with one profile. Launch is $299 and Business is $599. DMs come on Business or as a $49 a month add-on to Premium.

Outstand: best for high-volume posting on a small budget

Outstand's entry plan is $19 a month and includes 3,000 posts (outstand.so, read October 16, 2026). After that you pay $0.007 per post up to 10,000, then $0.005. Business is $129 a month for 50,000 posts. MCP is included with every account at no extra cost.

It has 28 tools and posts to 12 platforms. X, Google Business Profile, Vimeo and Reddit need your own credentials. You sign in with one-click OAuth or an API key.

Replies work only on posts published through Outstand. No DM tools are in its MCP list.

Metricool: best for analytics and planning on a free plan

Best for: analytics and planning on a free plan.

Metricool's MCP works on any plan, including Free. Free covers one brand and up to 20 scheduled posts a month. It is listed in Claude's Connectors Directory and signs you in with OAuth.

Claude can create and edit scheduled posts and create posts for review. It can also query your analytics, including connected ad accounts. Inbox messages and post comments are not available through the MCP yet, per Metricool's limits page.

Starter is from $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, for five brands, as of October 2026. Advanced is from $67 a month, or $53 billed yearly.

Composio: best for developers wiring several apps together

Composio is a developer platform. You create a session in code and get an MCP URL. It handles OAuth for each app.

Coverage depends on the toolkit:

• Facebook: 45 tools, with comment replies and Messenger.
• YouTube: 57 tools, with comment replies.
• LinkedIn: 25 tools, with no messaging tool.
• TikTok: 9 tools, with no comments or DMs.

Postiz: best for a self-hosted open-source scheduler

Best for: a self-hosted open-source scheduler.

Postiz is open source under AGPL-3.0, and its GitHub repo has 37,288 stars. The repo saw its last commit on October 15, 2026, and MCP is built in. You can host it yourself.

The hosted plans are Standard at $29 a month ($23 billed yearly), Team $39, Pro $49 and Ultimate $99, billed monthly (postiz.com, read October 16, 2026), and every plan includes the MCP server.

Postiz has no inbox. Its "post comments" feature schedules your own first comment under your own post. Claude can post through it but cannot answer replies.
