Connect Claude to BetterSocials: one address, no API key

Claude can run your BetterSocials for you: read the inbox, draft and send replies, write and schedule posts, manage comment keywords, pull your analytics, and edit videos in the editor. Connecting takes one pasted address and a sign in. There is no API key and nothing to install.

What you need

• A BetterSocials account. Any plan works, including the free editor.
• A paid Claude plan. Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid tiers, on the web, the desktop app, and mobile.

Connect it

2. 2In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. On the web that lives under your profile menu at claude.ai.
3. 3Choose Add custom connector.
4. 4Type BetterSocials in the Name field, paste the address into the field below it, and hit Add. The name is yours to pick, and it is what shows in your connectors list, but the prompts on this page all say BetterSocials, and Claude can only follow "use the BetterSocials tools" if that is what it is called.
5. 5Hit Connect. Claude opens a BetterSocials sign in page. Log in with your normal account.
6. 6Review the approval screen and hit Approve. If you belong to more than one workspace, pick the one Claude should work in first.

That's the whole install. Claude now holds a private connection to your workspace, and the tools show up in new chats.

First things to try

Start a new chat and ask in plain English. A few that work well on day one:

• "Check my BetterSocials inbox and summarize what needs a reply."
• "Draft replies to my unanswered comments in my voice. Show me before sending."
• "Open my most recent video project, cut the silences and filler words, and turn captions on."
• "Write captions for this transcript and schedule the post for Tuesday morning."
• "How did my accounts grow over the last 30 days?"

Disconnect it

Two places, either works. In BetterSocials, open Settings, then the API keys tab, and hit Disconnect next to the connected app; access dies immediately. In Claude, remove the connector under Settings, then Connectors.

If something is off

• Claude doesn't show the tools. Start a new chat, and check the connector is enabled for that chat in the tools menu near the message box.
• The Add custom connector option is missing. That option needs a paid Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise, an admin may need to add it for the organization.
• Tools suddenly return errors. If the connection was disconnected in BetterSocials, remove the connector in Claude and add it again to sign in fresh.
• The sign in page shows the wrong workspace. The approval screen has a workspace picker when your login belongs to more than one. Disconnect and reconnect to choose again.
