ManyChat and TikTok comments: what actually works in 2026

Does ManyChat work with TikTok comments right now

For most accounts, no. ManyChat's TikTok triggers are "User sends a message", "User clicks a link" and "User scans a QR code". A comment trigger exists, but only as a limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia (read September 11, 2026).

If your account is registered outside those three countries, a TikTok comment cannot start a ManyChat automation. ManyChat still handles TikTok DMs once someone messages you first. Comment to DM, the thing most people search for, is not there for most accounts yet.

Why TikTok limits comment automation for every tool

TikTok sets this limit, so it lands on every tool. Outside the rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, TikTok's API will not let a public comment start a private message. BetterSocials cannot do it either.

Does ManyChat's TikTok comment automation work, officially, in 2026

Yes, in three countries. ManyChat lists the TikTok comment trigger as a limited rollout in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Outside those three, its TikTok automation runs on message, link-click and QR-scan triggers.

A second restriction sits on top. TikTok's DM API is unavailable to accounts registered in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, so the DM automation ManyChat does offer on TikTok is closed to those accounts as well.

On Instagram, ManyChat can reply to a comment publicly and send the DM. TikTok is the exception inside ManyChat's own product. If your business is in one of the three rollout countries, the comment trigger is there. If it is anywhere else, plan around DMs until TikTok opens the trigger wider.

What tool actually automates TikTok comment replies in 2026
